Water is vital for life - without it plants, like humans, suffer and eventually die.
Irrigation is the science of providing the right amount of water, at the right time, to plants. A good design will provide a system that will not only ensure healthy plants, it will ensure that water is used efficiently.

If you go away for Weekends or for a longer spells and each time you do so, some of your plants die ? – Well you need a inconspicuous micro irrigation system that gives your plants just the right amount of water. With 15 years experience, we install a domestic automated system that waters pots, containers and boarders, using largely micro-misting nozzles that give a soft mist, so light that it does not damage tender plants or the petals of flowers, that would otherwise happen with other components of watering systems.

The system is controlled by a computer fitted to a conventional outdoor tap, programmed to come on up to three times a day, from one minute to one hour at a time. Some of the computers we use have sensors that will shut the system off if it is raining. We will design the system to suit your particular needs. All that is required is an outdoor tap and you can leave the rest to us. If you have pots and containers, a terrace, courtyard or long boarders we can help!

Depending on the requirements, we use system products by Hozelock, Gardena or Access Irrigation for more robust projects. As a guide for the average garden requirements, the cost for an irrigation system that includes both boarders and containers, will be between £390 - £470.

Some questions you might be thinking about…In times of a hosepipe ban, micro-drip systems are not affected. Only ‘pop-ups’ on lawns or boarders are banned from use in domestic gardens unless fed by rainwater. Water butt pumps can also be used to feed the irrigation system manually.

HOSEPIPE BAN EXEMPTION
many water authorities quote the following hosepipe ban exemption :-

"Drip irrigation systems: You are allowed to use a drip irrigation system to water your garden. This needs to be a drip or trickle irrigation watering systems fitted with a pressure reducing valve and a timer, which are not hand-held and which place water by drip directly onto or beneath the soil surface, without any surface run off or dispersion of water through the air using a jet or mist."
